The world’s first National City Park is in Stockholm and it also happens to be Royal. But the Park has been living a relatively anonymous life. The Stockholm County Administrative Board therefore commissioned us to develop a logotype and visual identity to increase awareness and knowledge of the area. We have since developed a communication concept and designed a website and various items of information material.

The basic idea behind the logotype is the topography of Stockholm with its rooftops, towers and masts that surround the Park’s trees and buildings. The logotype should feel playful in its expression, while at the same time respecting our historical heritage.
One of the challenges of the project was to create a form of expression that all those involved could agree on. The Royal National City Park extends through three municipalities and concerns the Royal Court, politicians and business actors in the area. Getting acceptance at all levels was therefore essential.
